The Davis Downtown San Diego

Stayed here for the weekend for the CRSSD festival and had a wonderful stay. The check-in and check-out process was extremely easy, room was comfy and perfectly adequate for me and my girlfriend. Front lobby had plenty of extra towels and bathroom amenities available, complimentary coffee and water machine was greatly appreciated. With it being so centrally located in downtown and not to far from all the action I would defiantly stay here again. 10 out of 10 stay!! Love the fact that it's in walking distance from some nice breakfast joints (Breakfast Republic and Eggies)

Stayed for 3 nights. We were able to contact customer service to drop our luggage off in the lockers before our check-in time. Lobby: water, coffee, extra toiletries, towels, iron, luggage locker, few tables. We did see someone on staff during the week. Cool ambiance. Room: king size bed, nice shower, mini fridge, not much space, and a TV. Also has a blow dryer and extra towels and a small clothes rack to hang clothes. AC is a window unit. So don't expect a super cold room and multiple showers can overwhelm with humidity. Location: downtown without being right next to the noisy part of Gaslamp. Easy to find street parking within 1-2 blocks if not right outside the lobby door. We were able to walk to a Padres game at Petco, to Gaslamp bars and restaurants, etc. Overall: good location, good customer service, really affordable price for where you're staying.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Access to the building and the room was easy and straightforward — everything was clearly explained in the instructions. I also appreciated the coffee machine available in the shared area, which was a nice touch. Everything felt tidy and welcoming. The only challenge was finding overnight parking — it can be tricky if you don’t plan ahead. But if you make a parking reservation in advance, it should be no problem at all. Overall, a great stay!

My stay at The Davis Downtown San Diego was super cool. I had no issues getting in. Everything was easy. They text and communicate often. I never needed anything as I was staying only one night. Its a cute spot with character and the nuances of upgraded technology such as the keyless entry and the door to your room actually auto locks you in for safety. The area is more business than residential as it is Downtown. I was able to check in late as my flight was a late one. I was able to easily get into my room with my code. I am told that it is important to fill out your pre check in information and upload your ID, if you dont.. you may have issues upon arrival but if you did have issues...someone is available to assist via the virtual front desk! They have a cool ambiance going on in the lobby, music and a fireplace area. Coffee, Tea and water are available self service in the lobby as well. If you need luggage storage they have that as well. You can request a code after you check out.

Clean rooms at a great location for a low price. This is a 126 year old building that offers a no frills stay that's perfect if you just need an affordable option. They email you your code and that gets you in to the lobby and your unit. Maid service costs extra. The good: * Price * Location * Adorable lobby & rooftop deck * Coffee & tea station * Responsive staff * Cleanliness The bad: * No parking * Small rooms * Street noise

Great location and spacious rooms! The hotel has a beautiful ambiance to it. Definitely worth a stay. I also love how they provide lockers to Store your stuff for people traveling and flying in early arriving before check-in, was very convenient.

Loved my stay here and would definitely recommend it. Perfect if you want to feel like a local. The location also can’t be beat. Make sure to check out the rooftop as it has a wonderful view of the city!

Located at a very good spot. Drinking water, coffee available 24x7. Lobby and terrace had plenty of space. Only thing, the rooms are pretty much compact and not completely similar to how the photos show.
